Health Coach – Senior Rehabilitation Counsellors, Psychologists (Provisional and Registered), Social Workers

Are you a Rehabilitation Counsellor, Psychologist or Social Worker working in the Workplace Rehabilitation Industry / Occupational Rehabilitation Industry and looking for a change from case management, vocational assessments and job seeking?

The Role:

PHSA are currently on the look out for experienced allied health professionals to deliver Telehealth Health Coaching services to participants with injury, illness or disability. PHSA have a standardised health coaching program (or which we will provide you with training and certification) to deliver our intervention program. The objective of this program is to support participants to overcome psychosocial obstacles impacting recovery and return to work.

We are looking for allied health professionals with an understanding of injury, illness and disability. Preferably we are looking for individuals with an understanding of the workers compensation industry, however we are open to those who may be working more in the Life Insurance, Disability Employment or NDIS sector.

Our Health Coach role enables you to hone your counselling skills whilst acquiring additional qualifications in our certified program. The role is work from home, via telehealth allowing flexibility in work arrangements.

This role is a pure health coaching role – that is, your caseload will only consist of referrals related to our Health Coaching Program.

 

We are seeking candidates with the following attributes:

  • Experienced Rehabilitation Counsellor, Social Worker or Psychologist with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Occupational Rehabilitation (or Life Insurance; NDIS; Disability Employment Services)
  • Full ASORC / RCAA / AASW or AHPRA membership
  • Proven experience and expertise in motivational interviewing, rehabilitation and adjustment to injury counselling
  • Willingness to undertake internal training
